When Life Writes a Story

– The story of Ayverdi’s began in 1989 when we arrived in Switzerland as refugees. After years of challenges, our father Mehmet took a big step in 2002: he opened the first kebab shop in Affoltern with a loan, and our entire family pitched in.

– In 2003, Murti (the eldest son) invented our first specialty: the döner kebab with egg and cheese. Despite setbacks and 16-hour days, we didn’t give up. We knew that hard work and passion would lead us to success, and in 2004, we achieved our first profitable year.

– The big breakthrough came in 2015 with the opening of our restaurant in Oerlikon. We took a risk and put everything on the line. It was a nerve-wracking time, but it was worth it. After many years of hard work and a shared dream, Ayverdi’s became synonymous with premium kebab in Switzerland.

Today, we are proud to have redefined the image of kebab.
Our story is proof of what can be achieved through hard work, family unity, and a passion for great food.
